Did you achieve your goal? How did it make you feel?: This was by far, the hardest contest for me. You would never guess I had a hysterectomy on Valentine’s Day looking at me now! I could do very little for a full month and I turned to mush fast. I lost all my stamina and ability to move or exercise my core. So, I focused on cardio, arms and back because I really couldn’t do ab exercises because of stitches. I did lots of reps with 8lb weights for my arms, working the biceps, triceps and shoulders. At the beginning of the contest, my run pace was 10:30/mi for 2.1 miles. The last few weeks, I have consistently been back down to 8:30 minute miles on 3 mile runs, so I am very excited about my recovery. This contest motivated me for sure.
What small steps did you take to be successful this month?: I used Pre Workout and Post Workout religiously, as well as Lean for recovery. On top of that, I added a few supplements to my IDNutrition for recovery. I always have 2 energy/hydrate cocktails per day, which gave me motivation to get moving. On top of that, you can hardly even see my scars because of our IDLife serum! Our products ROCK!
