Did you achieve your goal? How did it make you feel?: Yes, I did achieve my goal! I am 5’5″ and weighed 149 lbs at the start of the contest, and finished at 141 lbs. My body fat went from 30% to 24%. I lost 3 inches in my waist, and 2 inches in my hips. As a 46 year old stay home mother, who started back to working out a little over a year ago, this challenge was a great motivation for me to keep working on myself, not only on the outside, but the inside as well. My asthma is better managed, my cardiovascular health is much improved, my sleep is better, and my energy is better than it has been in years! I started out gauging my success on the scale, but then I saw a video that Mark Bennett made about not focusing on the scale/pounds since 2 people can weigh the same but one can be fit, and one not as fit, so my focus became on losing body fat and improving how I felt. I am glad that not only did I lose 8 lbs, but more importantly, I lost 6% body fat, and am feeling great, not only on the inside/outside, but mentally as well!
What small steps did you take to be successful this month?: I was able to reach my goals by having an awesome support system which included my IDLife family. I was diligent in taking my IDLife vitamins, Vegan Shake, Lean, Hydrate, Energy, and Pre and Post Workout. I added cardio 5-6 days a week to improve my heart health. I lifted weights at least 3 days to add muscle to strengthen my bones and boost my metabolism, and made sure to always stretch and foam roll in order to stay as healthy as possible and try to avoid any injuries. I upped my water intake as hydration is key to better health. I drank a Hydrate in the morning, and had another one in the afternoon.
