Did you achieve your goal? How did it make you feel?: For this challenge I focused on specific strength training exercises. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I did 3 sets of 5 for Squats, Bench Press, Overhead Press, and Deadlifts. I alternated the Bench Press and Overhead Press, and I only did 1 set of 5 for the Deadlifts. I had never focused on Squats and Deadlifts and it felt really good to accomplish my goals. I never thought I would be able to Squat 275 lbs, which I did, or Deadlift 320 lbs, which I also did. I am absolutely excited to have this challenge for accountability and it has kept me motivated to continue on with this path.
What small steps did you take to be successful this month?: Well, obviously I followed the IDExperience, but I also focused on goal setting, portion control, hydration, limiting non nutritional foods, and staying active. I wasn’t planning on losing any weight during this process, but in fact I lost about 2 lbs. This challenge has helped to not just follow a plan for a month but make these changes for the years to come!
